Raising Rochester

Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County

Ketelsen Annual Fundraising Dinner
The annual Kurt Ketelsen Memorial Birthday Build is held every February. Sponsored by the Ketelsen, Newer and Burlingame families to honor Kurt (1962-2005), and with additional support from Thrivent Financial and Habitat of Oakland County this festive fund raiser has provided significant financial donations to Habitat. . This family friendly Fiesta is an evening of fun, food, games and helping our neighbors in need. It is a fitting and fulfilling memorial to a man who was a builder and who actively cared about those needing shelter.

Bi-Annual Guatemala/Cost Rica Builds

Approximately every two years a group of members have traveled to Guatemala and Costa Rica to help build homes for Habitat for Humanity.

In the Summer of 2016, a group will be traveling to El Salvador.

Abiding Presence Weekly Children’s Noisy Offering

During the Children’s Time in the middle of our Worship Service, the preschool and elementary age kids collect loose change in buckets from members of the congregation. The money is given to a charity of the children’s choosing.

The key pillars of Equal Exchange’s mission are:
