- Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner will be served by the Confirmation students on Tuesday, February 21 at 6:00 pm. Please sign up in the narthex. The class ha elected to donate the offering collected at this supper to Leader Dogs for the Blind. A special guest from Leader Dogs will be at the supper, so come enjoy some pancakes and support this great organization!

Consider supporting the youth from our church who have committed to attend the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering, July 18-22 in New Orleans, LA. These high school students want to continue their faith journey and this event will allow them to practice discipleship, peacemaking, and justice with thousands of other youth from our nation.
Our youth are planning a variety of activities and service projects to raise the needed funds to cover the cost of the convention, accommodations and travel expenses. The estimated amount per youth is $1200-$1400. They need your help in making their goals a reality!
Anna Birmingham, Lizzie Berwick, Maggie Berwick, Andrew McBride and Kate Reynolds are available for RENT to help you do a variety of tasks around your home.
Rent them for: Pet Sitting, Babysitting, Yard Work, Holiday Decorating, Gift Wrapping, Snow Shoveling, Cookie baking or just about anything else you may need help with!

- December -- The Progressive Dinner will be in December. This has always been a well-attended event and a great festive way to celebrate.
- January -- A potluck dinner is on the books for January, so keep this in mind as you go through your recipes during the holidays.
- February – The annual Valentine Bunko party will be on February 11, 2012.

Volunteers Needed- Volunteers are needed to help cheer and pass out water at the Abiding Presence Cheer Station for the Brooksie Way Half Marathon and 5K on Sunday morning, October 2nd.

Healthy Body/Healthy Spirit Lasagna Dinner Following Saturday, October 1st Service- Everyone is invited to a Lasagna Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1st, immediately following the 5:00 p.m. worship service.Please RSVP by September 29th by signing up on the sheet provided in the narthex or calling the church office.

Crop Walk 2011! Join the CROP Hunger Walk and help fight hunger locally and around the world. Sunday, October 9, 2011, 2:00pm at the Kiwanis Shelter in the Rochester Municipal Park. Pick up a Pledge envelope between services or donate to someone walking. Students can collect community service hours and have fun. Abiding Presence members will walk together and there will be food served at the end of the walk!! See Chris Klepp or Cathy Evans for more info. |
